When you are shopping and trying to compare prices, having something to help you is key. Now since most of us don’t have an assistant walking around finding us deals we have to do the work ourselves. This is fine because when you look hard enough you can sometimes find lists that explain the top products in a particular genre. Lucky for you I have that exact list in regards to pepper spray.

So if you are looking for pepper spray and are unsure on what to buy fear not, I have the answer for you. So take a trip with me as I explain what I feel is the top five pepper sprays you can buy on the market.

1.) STREETWISE PEPPER SPRAY: This hands down is the best pepper spray product you can buy. One of the reasons for this is the amount of active ingredient they have in their product. With 17% active ingredient (capsaicin) it has the most potent mixture on the market. One spray with this and down goes the attacker. Also they come in several different sizes, shapes, colors, and styles. Ladies, if you want a pink pepper spray bottle they have that too. I almost forgot, their prices are awesome. Most sprays can be purchased for $!0.00 or less. With so much active ingredient it is the ultimate bang for your buck.

2.) MACE: This is a good one also just not as good as the old Streetwise listed above. The MACE brand has been around for a long time and they have a very wide selection of pepper spray products including gels and guns. However, they don’t have the active ingredient the Streetwise brand does and therefore is not as strong. Either way it is a good product and ultimately a second choice if needed.

3.) Bodyguard: Also a very good product. They take pride in their products and offer a wide variety of choices. Like the above choices they have pepper spray containers with key chains and clips for easy carrying. This spray however only has 13% active ingredient which means it will not be as strong as the Streetwise and Mace brands.

4.) Pepper Shot: This spray comes with all the goods. It has the clips and holsters needed to easy transportation but only comes with a 10% active ingredient. A nice spray for the kids, JUST KIDDING.

5.) Defense Technology: Another good backup spray. This has all the amenities of the other ones just very low on the consumer totem pole.

There you have it. Nothing fancy just the basics of what you need and how to choose. When looking just remember that pepper sprays come in all kinds of styles and colors. Just pay attention to how much active ingredient a product has and you will be fine. The more the better. Good luck!
