Product Review: Streetwise Pepper Spray With Clip and Key Ring

Posted by User Imageadmin On December - 22 - 2008

Ok folks here we are going to go over the pros and cons of the Streetwise Pepper Spray which includes a clip and key ring. There are several things that Streetwise products offer that most competitors do not and my goal here is to help you figure them out. So let’s start as we begin our voyage into a better understanding of the Streetwise Pepper Spray.

First we are going to talk about the pros of this product. What makes this product better or worse than most? Lets take a look.

PROS

-Like Most products this one sprays between 8-10 foot range. This is ideal for anyone trying to create a distance between themselves and an attacker.

-The 3/4 oz. container has enough spray to provide roughly 12, one second bursts. This is plenty to stop and attacker one time.

-The product is made in the U.S. so those of you that are simply stuck on American made products, you don’t have to worry about foreign competition. All U.S., all the time.

-This product has a 17% active ingredient which is the most available to civilians. The active ingredient in pepper spray is capsaicin. This is the chemical they take from peppers that make the pepper spray so hot and in our case, useful.   On top of that it is guaranteed to have at least 2 million Scoville Heat Units. S.H.U. are the way we measure the amount of heat the product produces. The higher the number the better, so you can pretty much guarantee that a product with 2 million S.H.U. is going to hurt once sprayed in the eyes and face.

-It can be used on animals such as dogs and bears. Aim+Spray=Ouch!

-It has a key ring and clip for easy access

CONS

-Since the container is only 3/4 oz. it is not very good for multiple use. Don’t get me wrong, if you are being attacked it will do it’s job and take down an attacker but don’t count on it saving you from twenty thugs.

-Weather: If it is a windy day be careful. The wind can sometimes cause the spray to come right back in your face. When this happens you will be on the ground for about a half hour for sure. To be safe make sure to spray with the wind instead of against it.

-Some sprays have a locking trigger on them to help prevent accidental discharge. This one however does not. This can be a PRO and a CON I guess. It can be a pro in the fact that it will not accidentally go off on you. It can be a con in the way that the trigger can get stuck sometimes preventing you fro using it when you need it. Just be careful with this particular spray because it can go off accidentally causing you a few minor discomforts.

OK there you have it. Now that you know EVERYTHING there is to know about the Streetwise Pepper Spray With Key Ring and Clip you should be well on your to buying a masterpiece. I know this information helped you but if you come across more questions please comment and I promise to answer them for you. Happy product hunting.
