I’m not sure if anyone has ever seen or heard of Mack Newton but let me tell you, he is awesome. I belonged to a monthly internet subscription and saw that they taped Mack giving a couple of speeches. First off his speeches are highly motivational and second, he is the bravest person I have ever heard. If you get a chance check out his site at www.macknewton.com.
I just want to share a few things that he spoke on. These are what I call his “Theories/Life Lessons”. He is very inspirational and I think you will find his words the same. The things I am listing below are what Mack Newton says you should do in your day to day life. Doing these things will help you walk taller and be more confident in your life. He does not like quitters and his reasons for that are many. Please check out his site for more information. OK so lets take a look at his life lessons.
1.) The first one is awesome and one of my favorites. Make sure you always have an absence of grudges and resentment. They only serve to undermine the willingness to succeed. Basically not liking one self enough.
2.) Live in the present! Use the acronym W.I.N. That stands for Whats Important Now! Basically Mack says you should stay out of the past. Focus on what is going on now and stick with it. I’m not sure if you have ever read anything from Dale Carnegie but he has some awesome books also. One of the chapters in his book “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living”, was titled “living In Day Tight Compartments.” This is basically the same as Mack says. Stay in the present and worry about things as they come.
I used this concept to help launch my pepper spray business. You can check the site out at http://www.peopleprotection.com
3.) Cooperate with life. When things happen don’t punish yourself. If you are golfing and you slice a ball, don’t stress out, change your grip and try again.
4.) Force yourself to be outgoing especially during emotional stress. When times are hard and you feel like you can’t get pull yourself up, do something daring. Do something that you know you normally wouldn’t do. Trust me, it works and it will make a huge impact on your life.
5.) W.I.T. That stands for Whatever It Takes. You must be willing to do whatever it takes all the time.
6.) Refuse to pity yourself, face up to your responsibility. Don’t get down on yourself. Stand out and confess that everything will be OK.
7.) Practice working hard, honor, and loyalty. These are all old fashioned character traits.
I know these were a little vague but they do speak the truth. I can tell you from personal experience that these tips will change your life if practiced. Try them out, what do you have to loose? Please comment on whether or not you like it and if any of these tips have helped you.
