I’m not sure if anyone knows who Linus “lemonarian” Rylander is but he is a good friend of mine and a GREAT online marketer.
Anyway, when reading something of his a while back he made a statement that stuck with me and hit me hard.
What he wrote in my own words is this; “Only 3% of all people, once given something of value, take action and do something with it.”
Like I said, that hit me like a ton of bricks.
Think about it, how many times did you buy a good book or an online course and just put it on your shelf? Even worse, how many times did you actually read the book and study the course and do nothing with it?
I am going to be the first to admit that I have done this a million times. Well maybe not a million but more than I can think of.
The point of this post is this; make sure you actually put what you study and or learn to use. When you want to better yourself you cant just put things on the shelf and hope they will work for you. It’s not the way life works.
Only 3% of people take action! That is horrible.
Since I am not one to preach without first practicing I have decided to come up with a test. This test will apply to me but anyone is welcome to join in.
I have read it takes somewhere close to 30 days to develop a habit. Since I’m a procrastinator (sorry I USED to be a procrastinator. Trying to change my self talk). Since I used to be a procrastinator I am going to pick one thing I used to procrastinate on and diligently dig into it for 30 days until I have developed the habit of taking care of it within a timely manner.
Every week I will post a summary of how many hours I worked on that particular subject and the results I have come up with.
I am not going to reveal the subject until next weeks post so please don’t send me a comment asking what it is, you will find out.
Ok so off I go to get S&%t done. Wish me luck and I will keep you updated.
