This might not have been possible 15 or 20 years ago when purchasing any type of spray you had to do so by getting some bulbous can from an army supply store. However, things have changed with the advent of the key ring pepper spray, making it easier to purchase pepper spray and put it to good use. Let me tell you my story of the need for self defense recently. I’ve never been happier that I took the time to buy pepper spray. I can honestly say that I sleep that much better because I have that little can near me at all times.

It was a work morning just like any other and I was just getting ready to unload my supplies to start working on the job site. I had already been able to get breakfast that morning and went by the supply store and, for some reason, decided to buy pepper spray from the register before I checked out. I was just thinking of what the guys would say when they found out I spent money on a self defense spray, but that thought quickly ended when I felt the kick to the back of my leg.

The foot was firmly planted to the back of my knee, causing my leg to buckle and I went down immediately. As I was falling I twisted to see what made me go down and I saw my attacker starting to bear down on me. I knew I was overmatched and the fact that I was on my back wasn’t helping anything. For some reason the only image that went through my head was I might die and I needed to do something quick.

As I was picturing myself about to buy pepper spray I reached down to my pocket and was able to smoothly pull my keychain from my pocket. I sprayed and he went down immediately. By this time I was able to get away and just kept thinking to myself, “thank god I decided to buy pepper spray; thank god I decided to buy pepper spray.”

I highly recommend that everyone buy pepper spray for those moments when you least expect to use it. If you get it online, you can even save a bit of money, and by the time you need it you’ll have it. Remember, when your looking, make sure you find something that has a good value and will not expire before a year. The best places I’ve seen are the stores that sell buy one get one free.

Also, consider doing your self defense purchases with a company that has more than just self defense sprays.

Don’t forget…danger is real and if you really want something that will help you out, pepper spray is the way to go. To be honest, I even went through all the trouble to find you a place that has great pepper spray and self defense weapon deals.

Many people don’t understand the need for self-protection because they have never been in a situation that called for it.  Why would you want to buy tasers if you had never been in a situation that called for you to buy tasers?  Consider a scenario that I heard about on the local news the other night, it recapped a pretty scary situation at a local apartment complex.

What was somewhat humorous was that I had seen a news segment on the same channel a few days before on the dangers of allowing the public to buy tasers.  This situation showed why it is absolutely necessary as a young woman woke up to see someone watching her sleep.  She was startled and the man immediately started to talk to her and give the impression that he intended to do harm.

Luckily for this young woman, her father was “overprotective” according to some people and he had just decided to buy tasers for all of his four daughters.  She somehow convinced the man that she was ill with the flu and needed to relieve herself and as she was allowed to get up she grabbed the taser from her nightstand and applied it to him.

She told the police that her father’s decision to buy tasers seemed silly when he did it, but she may owe her life to it now.  The wonderful thing about the decision to buy tasers for some people is the idea that it isn’t a lethal way to protect yourself.  When you buy tasers you are making the conscious decision to protect yourself without killing someone else in defense.

To buy tasers online you need to be diligent about checking on the quality of the product and how to use it.  There are many reasons to buy tasers but even more to deal with a reputable dealer of such equipment- you want to know the product will work when you need it.

A lot of people out there are afraid to buy certain self defense weapons. Some people just dont want to buy pepper sprays and stun guns for several reasons. Either their not comfortable with sprays and stun guns or they just dont want to use them.

Well, for people like this, I have a solution. How about buying a steel baton, or more commonly known as a telescopic steel batons.

Well maybe not in the mood, but your curious about how you might go about getting a self defense in your life. With the burglary, mugging and rape statistics at an all time high, why wouldn’t you look into ways to keep you and your family safe?

With that being said, there was a time when I had over $100 stolen from me out of my cash drawer while my back was turned.  The person that did it was a former guard I worked with, and someone who I thought was a friend.  As it turns out, he was anything but.  When I turned back to the drawer, All of my fives were gone, and so was he.  My boss, who had seen some suspicious activity at the door, went  upstairs to review the tape, and, sure enough, we caught him red handed.

Now the ex-guard had already left, thinking he had committed the perfect crime.  Little did he know that we had already called the police, showed them the tape, and informed them of where he was going to be working that night.  Without the Dome Security Camera, I was going to have to come out of my own pocket to recuperate the losses.

I originally wanted to get her a Stun Gun, but all of the ones I saw at the local surplus store were too bulky for the tiny purse she carries.  After all, if there is one thing I know as a bouncer and a bodyguard, its how to pick a self defense product.  I am a personal fan of anything concealable.  That gave me an idea.

I started looking into Disguised Stun Guns, and found a Lightning Rod 800000 Volt Stun Pen and LED Flashlight.  This one looked perfect.  It was pocket sized, and very discreet.  At first glance, one would thing it is a flashlight or an epi-pen.  It does have a brilliant LED, but the coolest part is the fact it is a Disguised Stun Gun.

When I gave it to her, the response it got was, “ITS SO CUTE!!!”  She carries it around with her everywhere now.  She has never had to use it, aside from using the flashlight to find her keys, but she knows she can really on its stopping power, and I can continue my reign as Boyfriend of the YEAR!  If you don’t know what to get for the girl that has everything, you should look into Disguised Stun Guns.

With a statement like that, what ever could I mean? Well, there are tons of metal detectors out there that will work for a little while, but fade off into broke really fast, those are the ones that you want to stay away from.
