How to defend everything in your life!

Archive for the ‘Home Safety’ Category

Disguised Stun Guns saved my life.  Not the way you think, though…  I had been looking around for something to get my girlfriend.  Something that is uniquely her.  My only small issue, was I have no idea how to shop for gifts, especially for a girlfriend.  She works as a bartender, so guys are always hitting on her.  I have to make sure I step my game up.

I originally wanted to get her a Stun Gun, but all of the ones I saw at the local surplus store were too bulky for the tiny purse she carries.  After all, if there is one thing I know as a bouncer and a bodyguard, its how to pick a self defense product.  I am a personal fan of anything concealable.  That gave me an idea.

I started looking into Disguised Stun Guns, and found a Lightning Rod 800000 Volt Stun Pen and LED Flashlight.  This one looked perfect.  It was pocket sized, and very discreet.  At first glance, one would thing it is a flashlight or an epi-pen.  It does have a brilliant LED, but the coolest part is the fact it is a Disguised Stun Gun.

When I gave it to her, the response it got was, “ITS SO CUTE!!!”  She carries it around with her everywhere now.  She has never had to use it, aside from using the flashlight to find her keys, but she knows she can really on its stopping power, and I can continue my reign as Boyfriend of the YEAR!  If you don’t know what to get for the girl that has everything, you should look into Disguised Stun Guns.

Safety For The Summer

Posted by On April - 5 - 2010

With summer fast approaching, it is now time to make sure all of your safety obligations are in order.

Now most of us have enough common sense to know what you should and shouldn’t be doing in regards to safety, but let me refresh you a bit so that everyone is on the same page.

1.) Keep an eye on your kids - During summer, kids are running all over the place. Make sure you designate certain areas of the neighborhood that they are allowed to wonder off to, and where they are not. So many kids go missing because parents didn’t keep a good eye on them.

2.) Stay Hydrated - This is a silly thing to bring up, but do you know that thousands of people are hospitalized every year because of hear stroke? This applies especially to kids. Make sure everyone drinks a lot of water, and if it’s too hot, limit playing time.

3.) Start a Neighborhood Watch - As with most people, summer time just makes you want to go outside and enjoy the weather. This also makes it a perfect time for criminals to prowl the streets. Start a neighborhood watch that will allow everyone the opportunity to look out for each other.

Well there you have it. Nothing to fancy, just a couple tips that can save your life and make your summer more enjoyable. If you have any questions please feel free to post them in the comment section below.

Home Safety: Locking Up The Valuables

Posted by On December - 15 - 2009

So just a real quick post on locking up your valuables.

Like most people, you probably have a safe or something along those lines to keep your valuables well…safe.

If that’s the case I would like to offer you another alternative.

NEVER keep your valuables in a safe that cost you less than $2,000.

The reason for this is simple. Almost a year ago I had some people working for me that where a little less than honest. These people ended up breaking into my house and stealing any and all valuables you could think of. I mean they stole my video camera, xbox, TV, computers, etc. Along with all that stuff they stole my 300 pound safe.

Now when I bought that safe I thought it was pretty much all I needed. It was about $300 bucks and was so heavy, it took me and two other people to get it up the stairs. Well, when the losers stole my stuff, they also took the 300 pound safe. Even though they stole it, I knew it was going to take them a hell of a lot of work to get it open so I was a little relieved. Well the day after my home theft, a police officer found my credit cards and everything that was in the safe. Guess they got into a little easier than I thought.

So the point I want to make here is simple; keep belongings somewhere besides a safe if you paid less than $2,000 for it.

Put all of your belonging into a safe deposit box. From what I pay, it costs like $60.00 a year and keeps everything I need safe and away from prying hands and eyes.

I lost my passport and pretty much everything you can think of that was of value in regards to paper products. Credit cards, birth certificate, etc., was all stolen.

So if you have anything of the sort in your house take it out. Keep everything you need in a deposit box and you should be fine.

That’s pretty much all I have to say about things like that. So good luck and be safe.
