3 Ways to Know If Pepper Spray is For You!

Posted by admin On February - 5 - 2010

So is pepper spray for you?

Do you know that there are literally thousands of self defense weapons on the market today?

Knowing which one to choose can save you hours of time and headache. That is why I have developed three simple ways that you can tell if pepper spray is a good buy or not.

With so many different choices for self defense weapons, which one is the best for you? Let’s find out.

1.) Cost – If you are looking for something that is not a lot of money then pepper spray is probably something you want to buy. I have seen them for as cheap as few dollars but you will be safe spending anywhere between $15-$20. Anything less than $15 might be to cheap to be effective.

2.) Effectiveness – Do you want something that will take your assailant to the ground? Well once again, self defense spray is right up that ally. One quick, 3 second burst to the eyes and you will drop like a ton of bricks. You can even get certain pepper sprays that have UV die in them. That way, if they run away, the police will know who they are by the glowing red on their face.

3.) Size – Do you really want to carry something around that weighs a ton, or is bulky? I think not. Self defense spray is small and compact and fits easily in a purse or on your key chain. I know of several people including my family members that keep spray in several areas of their homes and cars.

I know that this might seem like an easy list, but look at what you are actually getting. If you buy pepper spray you will have a small, affordable, effective piece of machinery. Just one spray can last a very long time and still be as potent as it was the day you bought it.

So now that you have your new found awareness, you need to take some action. I have actually found an excellent place that you can go and buy pepper spray as well as tons of other self defense weapons.

Did I mention that the sprays sold here fit all three of the requirements listed above? They sure do, go and check em out.

Buy Pepper Spray In Las Vegas

Posted by admin On February - 3 - 2010

Apparently there is a shortage of pepper spray in Las Vegas.

I receive several e-mails a day asking me if I know of anywhere that people can buy pepper spray in Vegas.

Well to be honest, NO. I am not from the area and I have the slightest idea as to where to buy pepper spray in Las Vegas. I do, however, know where to buy it online.

As you might already know, www.PeopleProtection.com sells pepper spray, and lucky for you Vegas people out there, we can sell it to you. We can even have it shipped to Vegas within a day or two.

We have several different varieties as well, such as large pepper sprays, small pepper sprays, and even pink ones for the ladies.

I honestly couldn’t tell you where to buy it in Vegas but if you buy it online, PeopleProtection.com is the way to go. Did I mention that we have a flat rate shipping cost of $5 no matter how much you buy? Yeah, petty awesome.

Well sorry to go off on a tangent here but I just needed to answer that question for the readers out there.

How A Taser Works!

Posted by admin On February - 1 - 2010

Above is an awesome video that demonstrates exactly how a taser works.

This is a show on YouTube called the Human Guinea Pigs and it’s remarkable.

This video shows you exactly what happens to a person once they are shot with a taser. As you will see, they immediately go down due to lack of body control.

The best part about the video is that there are three different people that get shot by the taser. Even more so, they are shot in three different places to show you the different effects each shot has. One is shot in the back, one is shot in the stomach, and one is shot in the legs. All three are pretty crazy if you ask me.

As of right now, PeopleProtection.com does not have tasers but we do have stun guns.

If you think you might be interested in tasers please leave a comment in the comment section below and I will see about adding them as one of our products.

Police Pepper Spray Training

Posted by admin On January - 27 - 2010

Above, you get a little taste of what it’s like for our local law enforcement, to get sprayed with pepper spray.

These are the things that they have to go through while going through the police academy.

The reason I posted this was so people could see what local officers have to endure. If you watch closely, you will see that they have to perform certain tasks AFTER they have been sprayed. This training is there to help them deal with the possibility of getting sprayed by an assailant or arrestee.

The pepper spray that is being used here is Sabre Red. This spray is pretty good but has a lower active ingredient than some of the others.

If you have forgotten, the active ingredient is the HOTNESS in pepper spray, so the higher active ingredient, the better.

Well I hope this helps you out and shows you a little bit of what its like getting sprayed with pepper spray.

Disarming A Knife

Posted by admin On January - 26 - 2010

This is a video of Steve Tarani’s knife disarming techniques.

I have posted things on the blog before in regards to disarming a gun and such, but these techniques are awesome.

If you watch closely, he shows you about 20 different ways you can disarm a knife and in return, use it on your assailant. He is very fast and accurate so please pay attention.

The reason I posted this is so you have a general idea of what you can do to protect yourself from someone that is using a knife on you.

REMEMBER: If you are ever going to practice this with anyone, use a fake knife. I know that might be common sense, but common sense is just not that common now a days.

Good luck with this and if you have any questions about it, please leave a comment in the comment section below. Be safe and take care.

Can You Carry Pepper Spray On Planes?

Posted by admin On January - 21 - 2010

Well, let me make this a fairly quick answer by saying, NO!

Not to be mean here, people but you have to know that it is illegal to carry pepper spray on an aircraft.

Here is what the Federal Aviation Administration has to say about it. These are the things you cannot carry on a plane with you.

  • knives of any length or description
  • all cutting and puncturing instruments
  • athletic equipment that could be used as a weapon, such as baseball bats, golf clubs, ski poles, and hockey sticks
  • fireworks, including signal flares
  • flammable liquids or solids
  • dangerous household items such as drain cleaners and solvent
  • pressure containers
  • weapons, including firearms, gunpowder, mace or pepper spray, or
  • any item that may present a potential threat.
That is straight from the horses mouth.
If you are traveling within the continental United States, there are certain states you can send pepper spray to so that you have it when you arrive, but that’s about your only option.
If you travel out of the states, then you are SOL. You cannot send pepper spray through any type of air travel.
So if you are traveling by air and looking for protection you have to be creative. The best thing to do is find a local weapons shoppe where you are going and just buy something for the duration of the trip.
I hope this helps everyone out. If you have any questions about this please leave them in the comment section below.

Top Five Reasons Pepper Spray Keeps You Safe!

Posted by admin On January - 18 - 2010

So here we are, talking about the great pepper spray again.

What I wanted to touch on, are the benefits of having pepper spray and the top five reasons it will keep you safe.

So without further adieu, I give you the top five reasons, pepper spray is so awesome.

1.) Price – Pepper spray is by far one of the cheapest forms of self defense on the market. For under $20.00 you can have a pepper spray that will bring most elephants to their knees. I know that wasn’t a good example but you get the picture. It’s pretty bad ass.

2.) Complexity – Pepper spray is NOT complex to use. If you can turn the volume up on your remote, you can use pepper spray. All it takes is the hit of a button, and down goes the assailant; problem solved.

3.) Attractiveness – Pepper spray is attractive. Did you know that you can purchase pepper spray in tons of different colors; including pink for the ladies. Instead of carrying an ugly stun gun (not that there is anything wrong with stun guns), buy pepper spray.

4.) Size – So all the ladies are always talking about how size matters. Well, let me be the first to tell you that it’s not the size of the weapon, its how much burn it has. Super corny, but you get the picture. Pepper spray does not have to be huge. All you need is a small 6 oz bottle to do some major damage.

5.) Super Awesome – I know this isn’t really a good reason but it is to me. Buying pepper spray is super awesome. You want something that can save your life, right? Well what’s more life saving than a small, low cost pepper spray? Exactly! That is why pepper spray is super awesome.

So there you go ladies and gents. You now have PeopleProtection.com’s top five reasons pepper spray keeps you safe. So if you are in the market for one of these dynamite beauties, check out the site below, you will not be disappointed.

Krav Maga: Self Defense Techniques

Posted by admin On December - 28 - 2009

Here we go again with the Krav Maga!

Although there are a lot of similarities with the other Krav Maga videos, this one is based on actual combat.

This video shows one man vs. two. These men approach the victim in various ways and the Krav Maga instructor shows you how to deal with certain situations. The only thing to consider with this video is that it is done in real time, without explanation.

I will be releasing another video later this week that shows you a more detailed explanation of how to do actual Krav Maga techniques.

This video is here for the basic purpose of showing you what Krav Maga really looks like in action. To me, this is one of the most powerful martial arts you can study.

Good luck with your defense and remember, be safe!

Krav Maga Self Defense: Disarming A Handgun

Posted by admin On December - 22 - 2009

So besides the stupid commercial in the beginning of this video, this Krav Maga tutorial is awesome. Besides, the commercial is like 5 seconds.

Anyway, if you want to know how to disarm a handgun, this is the video for you.

This video also explains everything step by step and shows you exactly how to do it.

To be honest, disarming a handgun is a little easier than I thought. The instructor talks about how you should give them anything they want as long as its not your life. If all they want is your wallet or money, then give it to them. But if the situation gets to the point where they are not going to leave and you know you have to do something drastic, Krav Maga is the way to go.

I have studied several martial arts and nothing comes close to this. I love the hands on interaction they provide, without the fluff. Krav Maga is definitely something I think people should look into.

Check this video out and leave a comment or suggestion below.

Thanks and be safe!

Home Safety: Locking Up The Valuables

Posted by admin On December - 15 - 2009

So just a real quick post on locking up your valuables.

Like most people, you probably have a safe or something along those lines to keep your valuables well…safe.

If that’s the case I would like to offer you another alternative.

NEVER keep your valuables in a safe that cost you less than $2,000.

The reason for this is simple. Almost a year ago I had some people working for me that where a little less than honest. These people ended up breaking into my house and stealing any and all valuables you could think of. I mean they stole my video camera, xbox, TV, computers, etc. Along with all that stuff they stole my 300 pound safe.

Now when I bought that safe I thought it was pretty much all I needed. It was about $300 bucks and was so heavy, it took me and two other people to get it up the stairs. Well, when the losers stole my stuff, they also took the 300 pound safe. Even though they stole it, I knew it was going to take them a hell of a lot of work to get it open so I was a little relieved. Well the day after my home theft, a police officer found my credit cards and everything that was in the safe. Guess they got into a little easier than I thought.

So the point I want to make here is simple; keep belongings somewhere besides a safe if you paid less than $2,000 for it.

Put all of your belonging into a safe deposit box. From what I pay, it costs like $60.00 a year and keeps everything I need safe and away from prying hands and eyes.

I lost my passport and pretty much everything you can think of that was of value in regards to paper products. Credit cards, birth certificate, etc., was all stolen.

So if you have anything of the sort in your house take it out. Keep everything you need in a deposit box and you should be fine.

That’s pretty much all I have to say about things like that. So good luck and be safe.
