Economy Sized Pepper Spray - Crowd Control Anyone?

Posted by On August - 27 - 2010

The first time I saw the 1.5 lbs Economy Sized Pepper Spray behemoth that is the Street Wise 17% Pepper Spray with Pistol Grip, I thought, “Why does that fire extinguisher have a pistol grip?  Will I be surrounded by militant fire?”  Once I saw it in action, however, I quickly got with the program.

It was about 2:30 in the morning, and all of the bar patrons were filing out in a drunk and disorderly fashion.  As usual, the warm summer night, and gallons of liquid courage gave way to a fight.  First it was two women, then it was the women’s boyfriends.  The next thing you know there is a massive 60 person brawl in the middle of the street without a police officer in sight.  As security, it is our job to not only break up fights in the club, but outside as well.  But 60 people?

One of the first things we did was shout.  No response.  Then we started pulling away the onlookers to get to the core of the mess.  No response.  Then came the Economy Sized Pepper Spray.  First we shook them for effect giving a final warning.  Then we pulled and emptied the canisters.  Two things you should know at this point.  First, even though we were on the outside of the fight, the 8‘-10’ reach made sure that we saturated to the core of the brawl, but what surprised me was the second thing.  When I say we emptied our canisters, we had about 300 seconds of spray before they sputtered out.

We didn’t even have to go hands on.  The crowd just evaporated.  Without the spray, we would have had to wade into the fray, and hope we could out fight, and out muscle the brawlers.  Been there, Done that, have the scars to prove it.  Now, with the Economy Sized Pepper Spray, we can break up fights of any size without having to worry about whether we will have to take a punch.

This video demonstrates the powerful techniques of Krav Maga.

Here, expert Steve Jimenez shows you how you can easily get out of tough and dangerous situations.

I have practiced Krav Maga before and have seen the power it has towards helping people protect themselves.

To be honest, if you have the time, check out local martial arts instructors and see if they have Krav Maga classes available. Remember, pepper spray and stun guns are very helpful and efficient, but knowing how to really defend yourself is the real reward.

Buy Pepper Spray - It works. (Trust Me)

Posted by On July - 6 - 2010

Of all the self defense products that are available to me, I buy pepper spray.  I have been on the business end of a canister enough times to know what it can do.  Being a Bodyguard, I often find myself in situations that require a way to make someone forget they came over to do me, or my client, bodily harm.  If I need to stop someone in their tracks, I use pepper spray.  There have been instances where I have walked into a situation where my partner was using pepper spray, and he accidentally sprayed me.  It works.  Trust me…

As a husband, I make sure my wife stays well stocked with pepper spray.  She carries a stun gun as well, but one thing we have both noticed is that with pepper spray, attackers stay down longer.  That is more time for you to get away, more time to get help, and more time for the attacker to re-think why he went into this line of work.

Another reason to buy pepper spray, is the capacity to incapacitate a number of individuals simultaneously.  Most attackers are cowards, and a lot of cowards travel in packs.  We’ll call it a Cadre of Cowards.  If you happen to find yourself in a situation when you are dealing with a cadre of cowards, you can try to take them all on with any number of tools, but if you had the foresight of getting something like a Street Wise 17% Pepper Spray with Pistol Grip, you can put an entire group on the ground with little to no effort on your part.  As far as shopping for a deterrent is concerned, buy pepper spray.

Buy Stun Guns - The Ultimate Deterrent

Posted by On June - 2 - 2010

Most people are intimidated by stun guns, but why let that work against you?
Use it to intimidate a would-be attacker!  Most stun guns are effective just
being discharged into the air.   If you saw one go off in someones hand,
would you stick around?

Most people think a stun gun is something you have to use up close and
person.  Up close is not the best place to be in a situation where you may
be a potential victim, but pulling it out before you have to use it is like
cocking a shotgun at the top of the stairs.  You are telling the attacker,
“Come closer at your own risk.”

They not only give off a considerable amount of light, but the most
impressive part of a stun gun is the noise.  It is LOUD!  The sound a stun
gun makes is unmistakable.  Even if you have never seen one in action, you
know what it is when it goes off.  Think of it as a police whistle that will
make your would-be attacker lose all feeling in his legs.

The second most common misconception is that they are dangerous to use.
Believe you me, they are.  But a stun gun is not something to be scared of.
On the contrary, once you familiarize yourself with it, your stun gun will
feel just as comfortable to you as your house keys.  One thing you have to
keep in mind is that while you are using your stun gun on your would-be
attacker, YOU ARE NOT SHOCKING YOURSELF!  Even if the would be attacker is
touching you, you won’t feel a thing.  (But they will.)  There are A LOT of
personal protection devices on the market, and most of them work very well.
But if you are looking for something discreet, with minimal size, but
maximum protection, buy stun guns.

17 Year Old, Stunned At A Baseball Game!

Posted by On May - 24 - 2010

So there is some controversy going around about whether or not a 17 year old dumb ass was wrongfully stunned by police during a baseball game a couple of weeks ago.

Well first off, lets point out that the kid ran out onto the infield during a baseball game, which could have very well put people in danger. Does anyone see anything OK with this?

Now, I will be the first person to admit that it was kind of funny and hell, I can’t say that I haven’t thought about running out onto a baseball or football field naked a few times; but I didn’t. See that’s the difference here, I decided that it would be a bad idea to go through with something as idiotic as that.

But the story is whether or not this kid was wrongfully stunned by one of the police officers stun guns (sometimes called a tazer).

HE SURE WAS! The kid was running out of control and the only way the fat cops could do anything about it was to stun/taze him. He was in the wrong and the police used non-lethal force to make him pay; thats what stun guns and pepper spray are for.

Anyway, I just thought it was funny that people were throwing fits online about something so obvious.

So for all of you non-thinkers out there, don’t go running out onto a baseball field during a game if you don’t want to be stunned or pepper sprayed. Come on people, this is pretty much common sense here.

Lady Chases Wendy’s Employee With Stun Gun?

Posted by On May - 18 - 2010

Ok, so all throughout this site you see all of the things you should do with self defense weapons.

How about there is an article published on Fox News that reports a lady, going through the Wendy’s drive through, got out of her car, went inside, and tried to stun one of their employees. You see anything wrong with this?

Why on earth would you get out of your car, go inside a crappy fast food place, and try to stun one of their employees?

Well just a few things come to mind, but insanity is what sticks out.

Let me advise you folks of a couple things here.

1.) Never try to attack someone with a self defense weapon, like pepper spray or stun guns, unless you have a lawful reason to do so.

The assailant is now facing charges with a deadly weapon over what, a Jr. Bacon with cheese?

Dave Thomas would be shitting a brick right now.

Anyway, when you use someone to defend yourself, make sure you have a good reason for it.

If you go and check out www.peopleprotection.com, you can see some of the stun guns and pepper spray we have to offer that will help you when a REAL situation arises.

I’ll tell you what though, the next time I get pickles on my whopper, I am going to waltz into BK and Chris Brown someone. I might even bring some pepper spray just because.

But in all honestly, don’t do stupid stuff unless you want to go to jail; you always get caught.

So go and check out the stun guns and pepper sprays on the main site.

If you have any questions or want to make any comments, you know where to leave em.

So, are telescopic batons a good self defense weapon or should you chose something else?

Well, this is a very good question. To be totally honest with you, it all depends on what you want to use to defend yourself with. Stung guns, pepper sprays, and many others will definitely get the job done, but a telescopic baton has something that the others lack; intimidation.

Now, don’t get me wrong, a stun gun and a pepper spray will serve the same purpose but there is something about someone holding a steel baton in their hand that makes attackers second guess themselves.

But in all honestly, they are awesome weapons to have. They are very compact and very effective. You will pretty much ruin someones day if they are hit with one.

They are also very affordable. A real good one will cost you around $30.00. Not bad considering stun guns are a little pricier and you have to be within the same proximity to use one.

But either way, go check out Telescopic Batons on PeopleProtection.com’s home page! They are very effective and you will not be sorry for buying one.

Keeping Yourself Alert

Posted by On April - 26 - 2010

Our day to day activities are so consuming that it is sometimes hard to pay attention to everything going on around us.

Now, I know that it is impossible to be completely alert and aware of everything going on around us, but we can still be alert and somewhat aware.

The point of this post is to point out that people should be aware of what is going on around them at any given time.

This is why I try and always pay attention to all of the little details surrounding my life.

The reason for this is just in case an emergency hits and I am needed for something. If someone needs me to point someone out, or maybe they need a license plate from a car that just did a hit and run; those kinds of things.

This is another reason why having a self defense weapon is important. If you are caught off guard then having a pepper spray or stun gun around will really make a difference.

All I am trying to say here is to be aware of your surroundings. Make sure you know whats going on around you so that your experience of surprises is at a minimum.

I hope this little bit helped and if you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the comment section below.

Flight or Fight

Posted by On March - 15 - 2010

With all of the crime out there, it is a valid question to ask, “when should I fight and when should I flight?”

Let’s face it, there are some times when you are being attacked and you should just run, and there are others when you should stay and protect yourself.

This is pretty easy to explain so I will not go into some drawn out explanation on when you should run and when you should fight, it’s pretty self explanatory.

If there is any time that you feel as if you are in physical danger, it might be a good idea to run…if you can. Sometimes you might be in a hostage situation where you know you can’t run without being harmed; you might wanna stay still in that situation until some type of help comes.

If you find yourself in verbal danger, you might want to run from this also. Now don’t get me wrong when you are hearing me tell you to run from everything because that’s not the case, but you do know that there are situations when you should just walk away.

If you are being verbally battered, you might not wanna stand for that. Some people thrive off of punishing the weak minded and you do not want to be one of those people. You have to be strong and consistent. Be fair when its time to be fair, admit your wrong doings, and defend yourself when you know your right!

If all else fails and an argument is getting nowhere, end it and move on. You will not accomplish anything when you are arguing with someone that makes no sense and just wants to argue.

Overall, knowing when to fight or flight, is programmed in your very soul. If you are in danger you know you should get out of there, FAST.

I guess the main point of this post was to explain the different situations one might want to fight or flight while in a verbal confrontation.

I hope this helped somewhat and if you have any questions, leave them in comment section below.

3 Ways to Know If Pepper Spray is For You!

Posted by On February - 5 - 2010

So is pepper spray for you?

Do you know that there are literally thousands of self defense weapons on the market today?

Knowing which one to choose can save you hours of time and headache. That is why I have developed three simple ways that you can tell if pepper spray is a good buy or not.

With so many different choices for self defense weapons, which one is the best for you? Let’s find out.

1.) Cost - If you are looking for something that is not a lot of money then pepper spray is probably something you want to buy. I have seen them for as cheap as few dollars but you will be safe spending anywhere between $15-$20. Anything less than $15 might be to cheap to be effective.

2.) Effectiveness - Do you want something that will take your assailant to the ground? Well once again, self defense spray is right up that ally. One quick, 3 second burst to the eyes and you will drop like a ton of bricks. You can even get certain pepper sprays that have UV die in them. That way, if they run away, the police will know who they are by the glowing red on their face.

3.) Size - Do you really want to carry something around that weighs a ton, or is bulky? I think not. Self defense spray is small and compact and fits easily in a purse or on your key chain. I know of several people including my family members that keep spray in several areas of their homes and cars.

I know that this might seem like an easy list, but look at what you are actually getting. If you buy pepper spray you will have a small, affordable, effective piece of machinery. Just one spray can last a very long time and still be as potent as it was the day you bought it.

So now that you have your new found awareness, you need to take some action. I have actually found an excellent place that you can go and buy pepper spray as well as tons of other self defense weapons.

Did I mention that the sprays sold here fit all three of the requirements listed above? They sure do, go and check em out.
