Well, let me make this a fairly quick answer by saying, NO!
Not to be mean here, people but you have to know that it is illegal to carry pepper spray on an aircraft.
Here is what theĀ Federal Aviation Administration has to say about it. These are the things you cannot carry on a plane with you.
- knives of any length or description
- all cutting and puncturing instruments
- athletic equipment that could be used as a weapon, such as baseball bats, golf clubs, ski poles, and hockey sticks
- fireworks, including signal flares
- flammable liquids or solids
- dangerous household items such as drain cleaners and solvent
- pressure containers
- weapons, including firearms, gunpowder, mace or pepper spray, or
- any item that may present a potential threat.
That is straight from the horses mouth.
If you are traveling within the continental United States, there are certain states you can send pepper spray to so that you have it when you arrive, but that’s about your only option.
If you travel out of the states, then you are SOL. You cannot send pepper spray through any type of air travel.
So if you are traveling by air and looking for protection you have to be creative. The best thing to do is find a local weapons shoppe where you are going and just buy something for the duration of the trip.
I hope this helps everyone out. If you have any questions about this please leave them in the comment section below.
